it's the hap-happiest time of the year

just like i was always ready for the change of seasons when i lived in New England, i am always ready for the newest sports season. the thrill of a new baseball season or football season approaching makes me deliriously happy. in light of that, we are back to baseball comments that make me laugh.

some of my very favorite remarks are made by Chad of TATB. he does not disappoint as the 2007 season in getting pre-heated:
5. I'd be a lot more concerned about the Sox's wait-and-see approach to Curt Schilling's request for an extension if he didn't look like he was hiding the other four members of the starting rotation under his shirt.

i aspire to be this witty. if you visit here with any regularity, you know i usually fall short. or for you Red Sox fans: it's like WMP -- i step up to the plate & swing huge, which means once every fifty at-bats, i send one out into orbit, but the other forty-nine, i swing at everything for strikes.
