a different kind of music
i was listening online to yesterday's Red Sox game. even though we lost ::coughcough::Julian::coughcough:: i had the joy hearing one of my favorite players knock a two-run homer out of City of Palms Park. that's always a good feeling. yesterday was one of those rare moments though... the one when, as a baseball fan, you hear the sound of the ball & bat as they connect. and know it's gone. you get that shiver. and you just *know*. just from that sound. man, i missed that sound. just eighteen days to go...

2 with their own thoughts:
Hey I caught some of the game, too. What do you think of the Trup-less broadcast.
Swing and a drive! Way back! Waaaay back! And caught by Sheffield, ten feet in front of the warning track.
Sigh....
I think Dave O'Brien will be okay, but I don't understand why they've got 2 alternating guys to go with Joe C.
Brain: i've listened to almost all the Sox games this Spring. i'm getting used to it. i think it would be much more weird to not have Castiglione. the biggest transition for me was when Ken Coleman was gone. i grew up listening to him.
i actually like O'Brien. he plays well off Joe. i'm not sure why they aren't just using him. maybe they are auditioning for the permanent position?
