i know he got a little roughed up in the first inning, but Surviving Grady sums it up so well:
"I've been watching Tim Wakefield toss that silly-ass pill for years now, but there's still nothing that captivates me more than the sight of a tremendous lug like Jason Giambi waving his bat madly as the ball trips gently away from it. When Timeh's on, it's amazing cinema."
i can't wait to actually *see* that amazing little thing we call "knuckleball."

and here we have it: proof that i am not the only one who is skeptical of Dustin Pedroia & wishing we had one more year with Mark Loretta patrolling 2B.

i know that Youk is just a lovable ol' bear. emotionally invested in every at bat. holding himself to the highest standards. playing his butt off over there at first base. but i realized it's possible to love him even more. i think everyone needs an Uncle Youk.
