so in honor of today's Red Sox season opener, i have changed my desktop here at work. centered on the desktop, framed in black, so that my icons don't disturb this important image:

i remember this night, this play, this exact moment... i can still hear the playcall in my head when i read Joe's words. and like any good Sox fan, it still gives me goosebumps.

huh? Monday?

i don't know what you're talking about. Monday? Monday never happened. the Sox start the season this evening against the Royals. Joshy on the hill befuddling the Royals with his pitching extraordinaire. Sox bats looming large as they send baseballs out into the night.

just the first of many games they will play on their way to the 2004 sequel. la la la...
