so you know how i love food by now right?
last night we went to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner at BOMA to celebrate The Man's parents' 45th anniversary.
(wish i could give credit for this photo but i forgot to snap one of my own *hangs head in shame* so i found this one online & it didn't list the name of the photographer--just know that i am not taking credit for it!!)
i have to say, even not being so much a picky eater by *any* means, i was a wee bit skeptical of what "African-inspired cuisine" might hold in store. at least i knew there would be the requisite childrens' sectin of the buffet if nothing inspired me to be brave...
OMGosh! if you ever get the opportunity to eat here...YUM! i wish i could tell you what i ate, but beyond the basics (prime rib, chicken, peanut rice, potatoes with attitude, potato bacon soup, fresh fruit, a whole host of desserts), i don't know exactly what the spices & recipes were. all i know is it was to-die-for yummy!
and at the end of the meal, the master chef sent out his own little well wishes done up in true Disney style!
3 with their own thoughts:
okay, that restaurant is seriously on our list for our trip to WDW this spring! woo hoo!
That dessert looks awesome. Yum!
DH and I honeymooned in WDW. We stayed at the AK Lodge... LOVED the food! LOVED the setting. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. So, sending jealous thoughts your way -- you lucky girl!
