thought i would catch up on a few i haven't done...

Episode 132

1. Who is the last person who you spoke to by telephone?
that would be Nichole, although it wasn't in the conventional sense. we were using our cell phones to text back & forth.

2. Who is the last person you spoke to online?
that would be Daniel - we just conversed over email a little while ago.

3. Which of the two have you seen more in person?
actually, it's almost exactly equal amounts of time, except for one weekend in early August when Daniel & i attended a Red Sox game in Tampa.

i can't remember, exactly. about two weeks, i think.

6. How much did the lack of internet availability bother you?
at the time, not too much. if that were to happen now, i would go out of my mind. oh, who am i trying to kid? if it goes out for an hour, i don't like it! i use it for so many things: looking things up, communication, entertainment. i don't have to be on it, but i like to know it's accessible any time i want to!

1. How many Christmas Cards did you receive from people you hadn't sent cards to, after the "mailing deadline?" Did you send a card anyway?
actually, i sent more cards than i received & i didn't get a single one from anyone i hadn't sent one to! in fact, i would be willing to be that a lot of people had to send one out to *me* in response to the ones i mailed! =P

2. At this point, do you weigh more or less than you did on January 1, 2006? Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
i weigh about the same, give or take a pound or two. and i can't complain about that at all.

3. When the clock strikes Midnight on New Year's, will you be at home, at a party, or somewhere else?
i was at home. on my couch. watching the peach drop in Atlanta & thinking about the Brett Favre post-game interview.

5. Have you ever been the designated driver at a party or outing with your friends?
i was almost always the designated driver for a long time, back in the day when such things were required. mostly because i don't like more than a vague buzz -- i hate feeling out of control of myself. then, one night, there was an incident involving an exceedingly drunk ex-friend & my brand new car. after that, i drove myself & anyone else who hadn't been drinking. period.

6. Have you ever taken the keys and driven home a friend that you felt was too drunk to drive? If not, do you think you would attempt to if that situation ever arose?
it would seriously depend on who that person was. i wouldn't ever let someone drive home that shouldn't be behind the wheel, but after the aforementioned occurrence, i might call them a cab before i would let them into my car.

1. You spot a UFO, a genuine flying saucer. You decide to mention it to those close to you. Do you expect that most would believe you, or assume that you're either joking or nuts?
are you kidding me?? *i* would think i was nuts!

2. If it had to be one or the other, would you prefer that your blog readers were all family and friends who knew you personally or folks who had never met you in person, and why?
i happen to like the friends & family who read my blog -- and even though some of them were at one time "folks who had never met me" & no longer are, thanks to my blog, if i had to choose right now, i would pick the people who already know me, because i like that my blog allows me to stay even more connected to them. =)

3. Are you planning to do any special posts tomorrow or Monday to look back over either your best posts or the significant events of 2006?
i didn't really do that. i did some New Year-related quizzes & memes. and my Thursday 13 from last week was a recap of some of my favorite photos from 2006, but that's about it.

no, i don't. it was my Gram's birthstone, though, and i think it is very beautiful. someday i would love a piece of jewelry with an amethyst in it...

to always remember to be grateful for the people who love me & the little things that happen every day that make me smile.
