the playoffs are coming! the playoffs are coming!

i can't believe how quickly this football season went by, but here we are at the playoffs once again. i am lucky that my boys have managed to get themselves there one more time. but since there is only space for six teams each from the AFC & NFC, there are lots of fans left without a team to root for now. if you're like me though, you aren't ready to give up watching football, but it feels strange not to have a team you want to win. NFL.com has found a way to help:

i already have an AFC back-up team (the San Diego Chargers), but my NFC team didn't make the playoffs this year. =( i decided to try it out just to see who i would be assigned. actually, i tried it twice, once listing the Patriots as my team & the other time, the Packers. i now have a third AFC team, should my first & second choices not make it -- but we won't talk about New England not making it, 'cause it's my blog, ok?

oh yeah. the teams i was assigned are the Ravens & the Saints! (thank God that was the NFC team they gave me because i don't think i can cheer for the others!)
