Why I would or wouldn’t like to-
1. Have an airline ticket to a romantic place.
i would rather have an airline ticket to visit friends. because, face it, who wants to go somewhere romantic alone, even if it's free?
2. Drink Pina Coladas and get caught in the rain.
no thanks. don't like Pina Coladas (odd since i like both pineapple & coconut). and the rain in Florida *hurts*.
3. Taste a lobster stew, with the surf by a window with an ocean view.
sure. why not. as long as the lobster stew isn't mine so that if i don't like it (as i have been known not to like lobster in the past), it doesn't go to waste. because, after all, nothing is quite as beautiful as an ocean view. except for an ocean view at sunrise. or sunset.
4. Walk through a meadow, barefoot, early in the morning.
it was all good until we said "barefoot." i grew up with a meadow to run through. and i have to tell you, the spikes of thick dead straw-like grasses that lay below the waves of green & wildflowers *hurt* when you step on them barefoot.
5. Get my motor running, head out on the highway, looking for adventure.
that depends. am i alone?
6. Write love letters in the sand.
i would rather write them on something more permanent...
7. Watch the moon hiding in the desert sky.
absolutely. moonlight is right up there in awe-striking beauty with sunrises & sunsets. i would love to see it in the desert. as long as i have a vehicle with me.
8. Gather lilacs in the spring and walk down an endless lane.
ohhhh... i *miss* lilacs. a long walk in the spring surrounded by the perfume of lilacs sounds wonderful...
9. See the pyramids along the Nile.
maybe one day. i've heard they are amazing. but right now foreign travel scares me a little bit.
10. See April in Paris. See Chestnuts in blossom. Sit at a Holiday tables under the trees.
i'll pass on Paris. there are a lot of places i would like to see more. in April or any other time.
2 with their own thoughts:
I couldn't agree more...there's so many places that sound infinitely more fun than Paris!
Here's a site for you... http://www.i-hate-france.com
Holiday table under trees? Like 4th of July? That's fun. Christmas? Eh. Thanksgiving... possibly. More like the Pilgrims and all.
