Palm Sunday
All glory, laud, and honor
To Thee, Redeemer, King,
To whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring.
The people of the Hebrews
With palms before thee went;
Pur praise and prayer and anthems
Before Thee we present.
All glory, laud, and honor
To Thee, Redeemer, King,
To whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring.
To Thee, before Thy Passion,
They sang their hymns of praise;
To Thee, now High exalted,
Our melody we raise.
(All Glory, Laud, and Honor, v. 3 and 4)
19 Palm Sundays ago, i was confirmed... whoa.
4 with their own thoughts:
wow what a blast from the past!
Aww, look how cute!
Happy Confirmation Anniversary, Dawn! I once heard it said that Confirmation is "Ordination of the Laity." In other words, we were ordained, just like pastors are, by prayer and laying on of hands, to be full adult Christians. I don't know if that brings you any greater joy as you look back on your Confirmation but I always thought it was an interesting way of looking at the Sacrament.
Heather: Tell me about it! Too bad you weren't confirmed with us. ;-) Then you could be part of the photo fun too! LOL
RileyScott: Ummm. Yeah. Cute. That's the first word that came to my mind! =P
Daniel: In the sense of becoming a full adult Christian, that is exactly why we wait so "long" & tie our first Communion with confirmation! We are speaking the vows for ourselves that our sponsors spoke for us at our baptisms and thus becoming mature Christians. =)
