i have to wonder if the person who has over a hundred page visits to my blog since Friday--mostly rummaging through my archives--has found what they are looking for yet. with over four years of blogging under my belt, my archives are extensive, the number of blog posts in the thousands. it would probably be quicker just to ask me whatever it is you're trying to learn.

i really like my home page. iGoogle gives me access to everything i need all in one place. link to my email. weather. top headlines. sports. movie times. my photos. there are literally thousands of gadgets available to customize your page. andall i have to do is log into Google & i have access to my personal homepage from any computer.
that's not even my favorite part though. i love that i can choose a theme for my page! i rotate between several, depending on the season (since i miss having four seasons & all -- right now, i am using Winter Scape), and the coolest part about the ones i use us that it asks me for my zip code when i select the theme & then the scene changes throughout the day! so right now, it looks like morning. and the sun will move across the sky, til it sets and turns to night -- just like outside! it's the simple things that make me happy, i tell you!
so... the part i was wondering...
what do you use for your homepage when you launch the internet?
as i was logging into my Hotmail account this morning, i started to wonder what people prefer for their personal email addresses. i use Gmail as my primary account for corresponding -- in fact, i usually have it open almost all the time -- but i still have the old Hotmail address that was my first email ever. i mostly just use it when i sign up for an e-newsletter or for a company to email me sales and coupons, so that i can avoid as much spam as possible in my Gmail account.

i was doing my laundry last night and as i was pulling sheets & towels out of the dryer to fold them, i was thinking...
if you had to choose between having really good quality sheets or really good quality towels, which would you pick? there are definite benefits to both. or do you really just not care? i mean, you have to have both -- one would hope LOL! or perhaps you don't really give the quality of eitehr much thought at all...
i love strawberry short cake! takes me back immediately to summer, growing up, spent with my grandparents. Gram would make strawberry shortcake all summer long with berries from Gramp's garden. i'll bet you can guess what i'm having for dessert tonight! ;-)

had a very deep & meaningful conversation with a friend last night about a topic we feel the need to frequently revisit. i am now enlisting your help, oh great Internet. doesn't matter whether you eat them or not--just want to know what you call them...
(and no i do not know why the poll insists on putting such a huge space between the body of my entry & itself. but it's too early to use that many braincells trying to figure it out. i have a limited number of those available for use each day & i can't be exhausting that many before 6am...)
2005 is half over. already. the accleration on the passing of days as you age is some kind of phenomenon i tell you. so here we are in July. i'm flabbergasted. (ok so maybe that's dramatic but truly, how often do you see an opening to use a word like flabbergasted? i just had to take advantage...)
and for those of you who are terribly concerned, July is National Hot Dog Month. and if you're being honest with yourself, you know nothing beats a good dog right off the grill. yum. when i was a kid, my grandparents didn't by weenie (sorry lol...) little franks. they got the *good stuff*. the ones you had to buy at the deli counter. Grote & Weigel's. or Deutchmacher. you can't find those down here in FL, so i settle for Ball Park BunSize. there just isn't any comparison though.
