4. just when you think Lugo might start to earn his keep with the first hit of the game, he gets picked off & then Ks twice.

5. i can't believe this is the same Dustin Pedroia we saw for a while last year. i have no problem admitting that i was completely unimpressed last season. though it still makes me sad not to have Mark Loretta, Pedroia has won me over entirely with his wee-nees, his scrappiness, and the awesome freaking defense he plays at 2B.

Wakey goes tonight. don't know how much i will see considering i got a grand total of three hours sleep last night. if it's another two hour and eighteen minute gem, i may be in luck. even more than that, i hope the boys bring a few bats for Timmy Knuckles tonight...
