Wednesday Mind Hump: December 13, 2006
brought to you by Blogdrive Insanity
Hello all! We're going to do a winter theme for today's Mind Hump.
1. What kind of weather is winter bringing your area right now?
we've had a few chilly days (highs in the mid 60s & lows in the upper 30s), but for the most part it is has been in the 70s during the day, in the 50s at night, somewhat cloudy & kind of humid.
2. What's your favorite way to warm up during winter?
well, since i don't have a fireplace to curl up in front of with someone, i would have to say a mug of hot chocolate or hot apple cider, wrapped up in a soft warm fuzzy blanket. (that would be *me* wrapped up in the blanket. not the hot beverage.)
3. Which celebrity would you want to engage in a snowball fight?
hmmmm... i really wanted to say Matt Clement since he probably wouldn't be able to hit me, but in the end, i thought that was too mean, given his history. so i think i will say Tim Wakefield, just because i think it would be cool to see if he could knuckleball a snowball!
4. Tell us about one of your favorite childhood memories of winter.
i was more young adult than child, but my senior year of high school, we had this huge snowstorm. they let school out early & i set out to walk home. there were all these enormous snow drifts & piles left by the plows clearing snow from previous storms that lined the sidewalks. they were so high, you actually couldn't see the cars creeping along the streets & because they were driving on snow, even the sounds of them moving slowly past were hushed, save for the crunch of snow beneath their tires. walking along the sidewalk almost felt isolated from the rest of the world, so quiet & peaceful, with giant snowflakes falling down & the whole world a soft blanket of white.
3 with their own thoughts:
I love your new music player!!
OK-it's taken me 3 tries to get the word verification right..geez!
lol - 'cept for the fireplace thing, we both like to wrap up to stay warm. I think that's my favorite thing about snow - the quiet beauty of it.
Much thanks for mind humping!
