might as well make my peace with it

Here we go again: In defense of (or at least an argument for) J.D. Drew from "Feeding the Monster" has helped me feel *slightly* better about the deals the Sox made with JD Drew and Julio Lugo, but that doesn't mean that i won't still be missing Alex Gonzalez & Trot Nixon. and i'm still wishing we'd waited one more year before making Pedroia our man at 2B; Mark Loretta he is not. i guess we'll just have to hope we hold onto Manny, because at least the batting order appears a little stronger with these new acquisitions. so much for a repeat performance from the now-disassembled perfect infield...
