new commute, new pet peeve
i have to take a 1/2 mile of toll highway each trip back & forth to work. this doesn't bother me. it's a stupid quartereach way. i am spending so much less in gas and wear & tear on my car and TIME (!!) that 25 cents feels like a treat.
where's the peeve? it's coming.
typically i am going back & forth to work at roughly the same time every day. this means that i see many of the same vehicles several times a week. these vehicles then, CLEARLY are familiar with the 25 cent toll to get on the parkway. so why then do they blow through the unmanned toll booth every single day without paying?! that really ticks me off. it takes 3 seconds to stop & toss your quarter in. if they are that hard up for cash then maybe they ought to take the slightly busier but FREE route to where ever they are going.

Hopefully there are cameras taking pics of the scofflaw's license plates??
When I eventually come down to visit, we'll find some of these cars and hunt them down and beat 50 cents out of them.
And if we can't find the regulars, we'll just beat down some random people unless they give us 50 cents.
That'll be fun!
