recommended daily allowance of Sox: 9 units
you know what i love about this team? a week ago, we may not have been outright worried about the lack of offense coming out of the Trop, and having dropped five stright games, but at least some of us were casting a watchful eye on the alarmingly low number of hits the Sox were producing, never mind the even smaller number of runs scored.
and just like that -- the Sox have won six of seven, stealing seven bases & driving out six home runs (three of them last night, two-run blasts for Lowell & Youk and a solo shot for Papi).

silver lining? the Tigers have Renteria (two Es last night) so we are evenly matched at SS. ;-) i miss him about as much as i won't miss Lugo when Lowrie is given the position.
it's pretty hard to find anything to complain about right now. except for your cable going out in the bottom of the ninth inning. and even that righted itself just in time for me to see the final out of the game recorded. =)

Sounds like it was a great game! lol about shortstop E's. ;-)
I forgot to record today's game. Again. I need to get my RDA's of Red Sox... haven't seen a game in weeks.
I still can't figure out what went wrong with Edgar. It's obvious it's not the AL, as he's playing really well this year.
Maybe he's one of those guys who just can't play in the pressure cooker that is Boston? For all the heat Lugo gets (most of it deserved. ;) he doesn't seem like it gets to him.
I'm loving the run production; now, about all those walks by the pitchers...
Being a Sox fan is almost a yawn these days...you know no matter how dismal it may seem they find a way to right the ship. hehe
Nichole: Maybe we need to get you some supplements...
Ted: It's not all the starters. Just Matsuzaka. And the pen. The rest of our guys have looked pretty good lately, haven't they?
Jeanne: A little jealous? ;-)
Didn't the offense pick up right around when Lowell returned? hmmm...
It is amazing how they have managed to cruise along at a comfortable pace with all the illness and injuries! Amazing what Theo has done with player development!
