is Memorial Day socially acceptable for doing a Summer post?
an old Tuesday Twosome in honor of approaching Summer (although it's felt like Summer here for weeks already)
Think of two words that describe...
1. The smells of summer:
food cooking on a grill
freshly cut grass
2. The sights of summer:
fireworks
fireflies
3. The sounds of summer:
baseball games
crickets at night
4. The touch of summer:
sunshine warming the world
humidity making everything slimy =P
5. The tastes of summer:
ripe berries of all kinds
corn on the cob
10 with their own thoughts:
It usually feels exactly like summer here by Memorial day! No different this year and I'm sure you must be getting some really hot days as well.

I always wished we had fireflies out here. I saw them once when I went camping with Daniel in New York. Then I was disappointed because they're like shooting stars; as soon as your eyes lock on them, they're gone.
It sure felt like summer here today... Why is it that as a kid the heat/sun/humidity didn't bother you. As an adult-UGH-I am already dreading summer.
It's definitely the unofficial start of summer. We had such a beautiful weekend weather wise. Still at 9:00 have all the windows open letting in a nice breeze. Even got to picnic today. Ah yes, the start of summer. Missed you all weekend. Had time and stopped over here but you weren't around. :( Hope you had fun.
I think you can say summer is here.
Spent the day on the lake with the kids, wishing I didn't have to go to work tomorrow.

Ahh, the Mariners. Like an oasis in a desert of losses ... like a rehab assignment for the entire team. Thanks, Seattle. (The Yanks thank you too, unfortunately.)

Dawn I know this has absolutely ZILCH to do with your post, but, thank you thank you for all your Disney "secrets"! It made our honeymoon trip so much more enjoyable! We loved Germany the MOST and also thank goodness we booked reservations to a couple good dinner places like you told us to cuz they filled up QUICK! You're awesome!!!!
