This week's questions are, once again, from fellow participants! Thanks to all of you for your questions, AND for playing! Have an awesome week! =)
1. Small town or big city?
i like to be *near* a big city but i don't want to live in one. i guess it's a remnant of living in Connecticut for the first 25 years of my life. everything seemed suburban or rural. i like the peace & quiet. the grass & the trees. but a 90 minute drive put me in NYC or Boston to enjoy what the big cities had to offer.
2. Do you have a favorite childhood memory, and if so, would you share it?
i don't know tat i can actually single one memory out & call it my favorite, but one of my favorite memories is the beginning of Autumn. my dad would start buying apple cider & warming it on the stove with cinnamon sticks. he would buy apple-filled cinnamon donuts from Dunkin Donuts. mmmmm... the best Autumn evening snack...
3. How do you calm down when something has really upset and/or angered you? Do you swallow it? Call a friend and rant? Go in the bathroom and cry? Punch a wall? Walk around muttering to yourself, complete with scary hand gestures?
well... those are two very different scenarios for me. seems like lots of things upset me lately, but very little actually makes me angry. when i get angry, i tend to walk it off. i try to cool my temper a bit, count to ten, get a bit of distance. i have an almost eternally long fuse. you have to really work hard to actually make me *angry*. if i don't have the opportunity to regroup alone, i will get more & more wound up, which just makes me cry & it makes me even more mad when i cry... when i get upset though, i tend to get more & more quiet. sometimes i will isolate & internalize. sometimes i will write. sometimes i will seek someone out to get some release...
4. What attracts you to memes?
i like that they get me to delve into myself & reflect on aspects of who i am that might otherwise go ignored.
5. How reliant are you on computers to get through your day?
::eyes widen:: i can survive without one... but i would rather not...
6. In a crisis, are you calm or do you panic?
i tend to remain pretty level-headed. four years in daycare with infants & you learn to remain as cool & efficient as you can be when it comes to a crisis. it's much to hard to be proactive in resolving it when you are unfocused by a state of panic.

This week, 5 more questions from our fellow participants! Thank you all for playing, AND for offering suggestions. Have a fabulous week! =)
1. Dramas or comedies?
i like a healthy dose of both. there's nothing like a good laugh, but i do like getting wrapped up in a good drama.
2. Your neighbor has frequent noisy parties on nights before you need to get up early. Do you confront him directly, call the police, call your landlord, join in the debauchery, or seethe quietly and do nothing?
i hate to rock the boat. i would probably seethe quietly for as long as i could take it. if it went on to the point of no longer being able to tolerate it, i would have to call the landlord to handle the confrontation, unless things escalated out of hand rapidly, in which case i would have to call in the police.
3. Are you more comfortable in big crowds or small groups?
as long as i don't have to address said big crowd, i am perfectly comfortable maneuvering myself in one. sometimes i like the way you can get lost inside the mass of people. and the opportunities to listen & observe without constantly being expected to contribute. that being said, i love small groups of people, especially people i know well. there's little quite as satisfying as spending time in a small group of people whose company you enjoy. i lose a bit of comfort factor in a small group of i don't already know at least one other person; i am slower to warm up, so having someone i know well alongside tends to break the ice for me enough to get my bearings.
4. Do you prefer Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox?
for almost everything, i prefer Internet Explorer. i am familiar with its features. when it comes to uploading photos to Blogger though, Firefox seems to be a much more effective browser.
5. They say you learn something new every day. What new thing did you learn today?
nothing earth-shattering: Outlook does not offer you a "shrink to fit page" option for printing email.
1 with their own thoughts:
I was a fan of the munchkins with Halloween colored sprkinkles from Dunkin Donuts. :-)
