all the wrong places

i heard a commercial as i got ready for work this morning. it was for match.com & they said that if you didn't find a love connection after being a member of their site for 6 months, they would give you another 6 months' membership for free. the catch phrase? "now you can make love happen. guaranteed."

what a sad world we live in, filled with so many lost & lonely people, wandering around & looking to be loved. so desperate that they can be led to believe that love is something you can "make happen"...

i'm not saying you can't find it on match.com, because love takes all sorts of avenues to arrive at its final destination. but love cannot be made to happen. if it doesn't come on its own, entirely & undeniably so, then...it is not love. there is just no way that anyone can guarantee it will be found somewhere, much less that it can be made to happen.
