remember how worried i was that Lowell wouldn't be back in Boston?
well i am equally relieved to learn that Matt Clement will be in St Louis in 2008. i wish him well, but to say i feel relieved that he won't be back is a wee bit of an understatement. i feel like we dodged a bullet. oh... maybe *that* wasn't the best choice of analogy in this case? heh.

I think there was zero chance Clement would be resigned. He was not made for the Boston market. STL will be perfect for him, with all those nice midwesterners who adore their players no matter what, which is a much better environment for him.
Duck and weave ought to be part of his follow thru when he pitches.
Can you call it "duck & weave," really, when he's actually hitting the ground like he heard a gunshot? =P
I think I was also really worried that Theo would get one of his wild hairs & decide that we were sticking with the plan, and that he was going to be the hero that rehabilitated Matt Clement. I just don't trust his judgment anymore after the Julio Lugo lusting.
