Friday's Feast: August 11, 2006

brought to you by Friday's Feast

Feast One Hundred & Six

Appetizer
Tell about a toy you remember from your childhood.
i actually just thought about this the other day, thanks to Michelle. remember the Fisher Price Little People? the real ones, i mean, with their little round wooden bodies & those little plastic heads... i had a whole collection of Little People fun. there was the Family House, the School, the Seasame Street house (you know, the one where Bert & Ernie and Gordon & Olivia lived?), the Castle, the Carousel, the Bus, the Car Ramp...and all the little parts & furniture & accessories. hours of fun, back when kids actually had to have an imagination.

Soup
If you could make one thing in the world absolutely free for everyone, what would it be?
i thought about this one for a long long time. there are just so many needs that the world has as a whole. basic needs like food & shelter & medical attention that so many people are without. i don't even know that i could pick which one is most important...

Salad
Approximately how many times per day do you think about your significant other?
all the freaking time...

Main Course
What is something you believe in 100%?
Divine Grace. that what we want is not always what is best for us & sometimes we don't know what we need until we get it.

Dessert
Name one thing you have done this week that you would consider a "good deed."

a "good deed"? i don't think i've done anything that qualifies as that, but i sure have received a whole bunch of them...

Great answers Dawn, I totally agree. And I especially loved your comment on the toy one, "back when kids had to have imagination". That's so true, I think. Back when they had time to spare to be kids, had safe places to run around in and explore, and had to have imagination and learn to play and run around. It's great all these things kids have today, but on the other hand, it's a shame that we know all of what they're missing out on. :)

Have a wonderful day!

Little People -- the *original* Little People -- rock!

And you could probably consider being my friend a good deed, lol! :)

I remember the little people... Man it sounds like you had the whole line of stuff for them ..lol How cool is that. I did this meme for the first time today. I also see you are a baseball fan from the post above. While we do not share a love for the same team I am sure we share a love for the game. ( I am a huge Astros fan )... I can relate with the injuries... a few months ago we were going through them left and right. I hate it.
