my 30s: the mantra
back on my thirtieth birthday, i made a little decision with myself that i'd make Tim McGraw's "My Next Thirty Years" the mantra of my thirties. this is my fourth birthday in the decade that starts with "three" & i'm still going strong. i love my thirties *way* better than i ever did my twenties!
The ending of an era and the turning of a page
Now it's time to focus in on where I go from here
Lord have mercy on my next thirty years
My next thirty years I'm gonna have some fun
Try to forget about all the crazy things I've done
Maybe now I've conquered all my adolescent fears
And I'll do it better in my next thirty years
My next thirty years I'm gonna settle all the scores
Cry a little less, laugh a little more
Find a world of happiness without the hate and fear
Figure out just what I'm doing here
In my next thirty years

yup. a great *30s* song. :) Happy Birthday, and love your new blog design.
Happy Birthday wishes to you on your most specialist of days Dawn! I hope you had a great day! Wish I were at the food and wine festival with you! Here's to many more!
And they go by SO quickly! I just turned 54 yesterday and a) I still feel like a kid; and b) I STILL don't know what I want to be when I grow up!
So you've got the RIGHT attitude!
Hope you're having an awesome birthday girly!
