somehow, i believe this will be the key to the Red Sox post season fate...

Right. I'm not concerned about Lester tomorrow. I'm concerned about what comes after him. The Angels' bullpen isn't spectacular, but it's better than the Red Sox, I think.
Oh yeah, our bullpen's been an issue all season. We have zero middle relief that we can rely on, and Papelbon has been shaky at best lately. If our starters can't go deep - we're F'd.
I agree.
And it scares me a little thinking about how our 'pen has pitched this year.
Can Farrell not just tell the guys to pitch 9 innings every night?
Hey! I just checked my email and there's one from Yankee Candle saying they are bringing back 30 retired scents. I don't have your email or I'd forward it to you, but I remember you being bummed out that they retired a few of your faves.
Nichole: What's really sad is that lately it's PAPELBON I fear the most.
Rebecca: What really makes me crazy is that they have come out half the time & been awesome. It's the other half of the time that scares me. And the fact that you never know whether you're getting Dr Jekyll or Mr Hyde.
Ted: Going deep into a game is something I feel we can expect from Lester. And Beckett, if he isn't broken. But Matsuzaka? To quote Bob Ryan: it would be nice if he could make it through the sixth and seven would be great! What I am hoping is that the Angels not being quite as patient as some other teams at the plate will work in our starters' favor as far as going deep into games.
Ingrid: There is an 'email me' link right over there in the left sidebar under my profile. ;-)
